Research another route using the central score from your year of enrolment.
YÖK separately regulates transfers based on the central placement score through the Ek Madde 1 implementation principles. This path is not the same as an application based on GPA.
The YÖK principles require the relevant central placement score from the year you enrolled to equal or exceed the target program's base score established for that same year. They state that if the target program admitted no students that year, no base score exists and transfer through this route is not possible. Confirm the enrolment year, score type, and comparison documents with student affairs.
Any special conditions for enrolment in the target program specified in the relevant ÖSYS/YKS/ÖZYES guide must be met. Programs taught wholly or partly in a foreign language also require the institution's language condition to be met. The principles state that students who have completed two years of preparatory education in their registered program cannot take preparatory education again; confirm document and language-exam details with the institution.
Verify spring intake through the authorized governing-body decision, separate spring quota announcement, and the institutional calendar for application/evaluation before education begins. Do not assume autumn and spring intake are the same. This site does not collect scores or produce an automated eligibility result.
Questions to ask the institution
- Which official documents apply to my year of enrolment and relevant score type?
- Did the target program admit students in my year of enrolment, and where can I verify its base score for that year and the applicable special conditions?
- How might a previous transfer or my preparatory/class status affect the application?
- What are the quota, language proficiency, course placement, and fee requirements?
Your checklist
- Open the current YÖK Ek Madde 1 implementation principles.
- Find the official result document showing the relevant central placement score for your year of enrolment.
- Confirm whether the target program admitted students that same year and its base score, as well as the applicable guide's special conditions, language requirement, and two-year preparatory-study limit with the institution.
- Check the university's current Ek Madde 1 announcement and document list; look for the authorized governing-body decision and separate spring quota announcement, and verify that application and evaluation are scheduled before education begins and that autumn and spring dates are not treated as identical.
